Do you want to grow your money and end the cycle of being in debt?
Getting out of debt has been a goal of years for years. You think that learning to manage your money wiser just may help?
Are you holding on to certain beliefs about money that are keeping you from creating your highest wealth?
Here are 5 sayings that just aren’t true about money but some of us make them our highest truths.
Myth # 1: Money is meant to be spent.
Money is meant to be balanced.
Spending money is fun. Saving money can be fun too.
If you want to discover less stress when it comes to your finances you must put some away for saving. Don’t you want a comfortable life? How is this possible if you spend all your money?
Myth # 2: Money is not important.
If money is not important then why are you working?
More than half the world works for money. Not for peanuts, soup or for free. You expect money as a form of payment and you should.
There are some people that say money is not important to them. It that’s the case why accept a raise, bonus or promotion? It must be important then. You know you desire financial freedom so why are you claiming to desire so little money?
We all know someone like this, someone who says all the time how they are just satisfied with one comfortable pay check to cover the bare minimal in their life. But, in the same breath this same person is in debt with 3 credit cards, getting their car repoed or desperately looking for a second job.
The question should be not is it important, of course it’s important. The question should be what do you do with your money once you receive it? Do you respect your paycheck and treat it well or do you neglect and spend it all?
If it’s not important to you you will find it very hard to hold on to. Attracting money requires the act of keeping money. You aren’t attracting money into your life because it’s not that important to you.
Money can award you a better life as well as a peace of mind for you and your family.
Stop saying it’s not important. Start believing money is important. Treat yours better and more will come into your life.
Myth # 3: Money is the root of all evil.
If you keep believing this then money will never come your way no matter what you do or how bad you desire to have more.
Because who wants to be evil? You associate money with evil and that’s not you so no money flowing your way.
Stop saying, “money is the root of all evil”. You can be good and have money. There are plenty of rich people in our world who do good things and are wholesome human beings. You can be one of them.
Myth # 4: Money does not grow on trees.
Okay, money may not literally grow on trees but if you save and invest that can be your money tree.
The more money (seeds) you add (plant) the more your account (tree) will grow. Believe in planting seeds and growing money trees.
Myth # 5: It takes money to make money
Before most people start a business they are concerned about their credit score, getting a loan, paying off debt and investors. These are important but they should not stop you from following your dreams of starting your own business.
Yes, it is important to get your finances in order and organized before you embark on a business plan. But, you don’t have to have hundreds of thousands of dollars in the bank or a perfect credit score to take the first step toward becoming successful.
Don’t allow dollar bills to dictate your life. Yes money is important but you can’t give it more power over you and your dreams.
Remember….
Destroy these 5 beliefs to avoid blocking the flow of financial freedom and wealth into your life. Working to fix your money problems with a budget will have no long term effect if you aren’t thinking positive.

Great information! I think I know these things in the back of my head, but it’s putting it into practice that’s the hard part. Thanks!
Elisha says
That’s so true Lauren. Most of us were just trained to think a certain way.

Hey, thanks for sharing this. I’ve been thinking a lot about this recently, especially the idea that anyone who works in a creative field feels they have to be a ‘struggling artist’ or work for free ‘to get their name out there’. In reality, these are both myths too.
Elisha says
I agree Amy that those are myths too. Especially in today’s world where there is so much training and opportunity in the creative field to help one succeed.
